Ukraine thanks U.N. for suspending Russia from human rights physique

Ukraine’s overseas minister welcomed a choice by the United Nations Normal Meeting (UNGA) on Thursday to droop Russia from the U.N. Human Rights Council over experiences of violations and abuses of human rights by its troops in Ukraine.

“Conflict criminals don’t have any place in UN our bodies aimed toward defending human rights. Grateful to all member states which supported the related UNGA decision and selected the suitable aspect of historical past,” Overseas Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

Russia denies the allegations in opposition to its troops and calls the invasion a “particular navy operation.”
